ON Semiconductor Expands Range Of Clock Drivers
ON Semiconductor has expanded its range of clock drivers with the release of the NB7L585, NB7L585R, NB7V585M and NB7V586M differential 2:1 mux input to 1:6 devices. It has also introduced the NB6HQ14M and NB7HQ14M 1:4 fan-out clock/data drivers with equalisation. The NB6HQ14M and the NB7HQ14M integrate a selectable equaliser receiver into a differential 1:4 CML clock driver. When placed in series with a data path operating at up to 6.5Gbit per second (Gbps) or 10Gbps, the inputs will compensate the degraded signal and output four identical CML copies of the original input signal. The serial data rate is thereby increased by reducing the inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by losses in the copper interconnect or long cables. The NB7L585, the NB7L585R, the NB7V585M and the NB7V586M are the newest members of the Gigacomm range, representing a new 2:1:6 function integrating a 2:1 mux with a 1:6 fan-out buffer.
