LMS Revises Test Lab System

Image
LMS International has released the latest version of LMS Test.Lab, its integrated technology for noise and vibration testing and engineering. LMS Test.Lab Rev 10A has been designed to offer improvements in productivity and efficiency. It also introduces applications such as Time Domain Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) and MIMO FRF testing and solutions for acoustic testing. 'With the integration of new acoustic testing capabilities and transfer path analysis techniques, test engineers can more efficiently trace where a sound is coming from and what the root cause is of particular noise and vibration issues,' said Bruno Massa, vice-president, test division, LMS International. LMS Test.Lab Rev 10A delivers a new extension to the LMS Test.Lab Transfer Path Analysis capabilities: LMS Test.Lab Time Domain TPA. This application complements frequency domain TPA and is suitable for the analysis of transient phenomena. With this extension, LMS now offers a complete portfolio of TPA solutio...

LMS Releases Latest Acoustics Simulation Software

Image
LMS has released the latest version of its Virtual.Lab Acoustics simulation software. Featuring solutions designed specifically for challenging acoustic problems, the latest release of LMS Virtual.Lab Acoustics includes ray tracing for high-frequency acoustics and time-domain BEM, a new time-based method for acoustic problem solving. A core development focus has been to expand the FEM acoustic solver so that it can handle huge industrial tasks, including large noise radiation problems. This is possible thanks to the Perfectly Matched Layer (PML) technique, which reduces the number of required elements to solve noise radiation problems more efficiently. Other critical work has occurred in the area of LMS's BEM technology, with the addition of a time-domain BEM solver, allowing acoustic engineers to do realistic simulations and gain more insight into time-related acoustic issues. The new inverse numerical acoustics solution helps determine realistic vibration sources for better nois...

LMS Enhances Imagine Lab System Simulation Suite

Image
LMS International has released the latest version of its multi-domain system simulation solution, LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim Revision 9. The release is said to deliver a straightforward, interactive framework with advanced capabilities for performing 1D system simulation. LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim Revision 9 is said to offer improved ergonomics, enhanced data management, ready-to-use simulators - for example, for hybrid vehicle architectures - and Modelica compliancy. The system comes with turnkey simulators for various applications in a range of industries, including power train, hybrid vehicles, comfort and driving dynamics for the automotive sector, fluid actuators for aviation and full-wheel loader simulators for the off-highway industry. With these simulators, users no longer have to build their model from scratch and only need to adapt the model to the architecture. Users can then quickly assess drivability and comfort issues as well as performance and fuel consumption. The release als...
