Parker Showcases Nitrogen Gas Generators At Foodex

Image
Parker Hannifin 's Domnick Hunter Industrial Division will exhibit energy and cost-saving solutions at Foodex 2010, to be held 21-24 March at NEC Birmingham. The company will display a selection of nitrogen-gas generators for the food and beverage sectors. In particular, the company will showcase its Midigas and Maxigas onsite food-grade nitrogen gas generators. These proven technologies provide alternatives to traditional nitrogen sources for a range of applications in the food and beverage industry, such as MAP (modified atmosphere packaging), purging, gas flushing, pressure transfer and blanketing of foodstuffs and raw materials. Producing on-demand nitrogen gas from an integrated compressed-air supply, the high-performance Midigas and Maxigas ranges are suitable for low-to-medium and medium-to-high volume nitrogen requirements, respectively. The ability to generate high-purity gas from a compact, self-contained online system eliminates the need for traditional and expensive gas...

Miller Unveils EFI Engine-Driven Welder Generators

Image
Miller Electric has introduced two electronic fuel-injected (EFI) engine-driven twin-cylinder welder generators: the Trailblazer 302 EFI and the Bobcat 250 EFI. The company claims that replacing the carburettor with EFI improves fuel economy by up to 27 per cent, reduces harmful emissions by up to 33 per cent and eliminates carburettor icing. Miller also increased the weld output and generator power (12kW peak/10.5kW continuous watts) on both machines to provide contractors with an energy- and cost-efficient machine with improved performance over carburettor-based models. Replacing carburettors with EFI reduces hydrocarbon and nitrogen-oxide emissions by 33 per cent and carbon-monoxide emissions by 27 per cent, while also saving as much as USD1,000 (GBP616) per year (assuming 25 gallons per week at USD3 per gallon) in fuel costs. The Trailblazer 302 EFI and the Bobcat 250 EFI are both multi-process machines that provide strong stick, MIG, flux-cored, AC/DC TIG and gouging capabilities...
