VPX3-129 Enhances Freescale QorIQ P4080 Processor
Mistral Solutions has brought out Curtiss Wright 's VPX3-129, a new and rugged power architecture-based 3U VPX (VITA 46) single-board computer (SBC). The VPX3-129 is a powerful, small form-factor SBC that enhances performance and advanced I/O capabilities of Freescale's QorIQ P4080 eight-core communications processor with an extensive I/O complement to provide a highly capable 3U VPX SBC. This makes it ideal for a wide range of embedded harsh-environment applications, including tactical aircraft, armoured vehicles or rugged naval systems. The VPX3-129 has multi-gigabytes per second data flows from board-to-board via the backplane, and from the backplane to its XMC site to support the acquisition, processing and distribution of high-bandwidth sensor input such as video, radar and sonar data.
