Calex Launches Chassis-Mount DC/DC Converters

Calex Manufacturing has announced the HCM series of high-power density chassis-mount DC/DC converters. The 150W rugged encapsulated DC/DC converters are ideal for harsh industrial and commercial off-the-shelf military applications. All 10 models in the series offer a 4:1 input range, from 9-36VDC and 18-75VDC, which makes the units suitable for 24V industrial, 12V and 24V battery applications and 48V power sources. The output voltages available are 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC. All models are isolated input to output. The mean time before failure for all models is more than one million hours and all models are backed by Calex's five-year warranty. The enclosure of the HCM series provides a 'clamp'-style recessed barrier strip, which secures wire without twisting. The enclosure can be mounted with the barrier strip facing up or down, depending on what is preferred for the application. The thermal characteristics of the enclosure are said to provide a favourable 3C per watt ...

Synqor has announced that it has expanded its range of medical-grade products. The CFQor DC/DC converters are designed to provide isolated DC power for applications requiring a CF Body Contact and Defibrillation Pulse withstand capability as specified in EN60601. These fixed-switching frequency converters use Synqor's synchronous rectifier-based technology to achieve high efficiency. The CFQor quarter-brick series delivers 105W from a nominal input voltage of 12V, 24V or 48V and includes output voltages of 5V, 12V, 15V or 24V. Each module is supplied completely encased to provide protection from harsh environments and is available with an optional flanged-style baseplate. Features include remote on/off, a +10 per cent to -20 per cent output-voltage trim range, remote sense, input under-voltage lockout, output over-voltage protection, active back bias limit, thermal shutdown, output current limit and short-circuit protection. The CFQor quarter-brick series was designed for 4,250V, ...
