Studer Adds Combitec Internal Cylindrical Grinding
Studer has announced that it has acquired Combitec as a subsidiary and can now offer the CT-450L, CT-960 and the S120 production grinding machines. The CT-450L CNC internal and universal cylindrical grinder for new users is the light version of the Combitec CT-450. With a range of applications, the CT-450L is suited to universal internal grinding applications, grinding collet chucks, and machining brittle and hard materials. It features a linear spindle arrangement, use of either one or two spindles with speeds of 28000-60000rev/min, and cross-slide design. The CT-450 provides a range of expansion options, such as a C-axis for grinding all types of threads. The CT-960 internal, universal and radius grinder is a high-precision machine with a B-axis swivel to 91deg. A turret for up to four spindles allows efficient grinding of small to medium-sized workpieces, the company said.
