California Micro Expands Luxguard Turnkey Range
California Micro Devices has introduced the latest products in the Luxguard range of turnkey solutions. These solutions are suitable for the electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and thermal management of high-power, high-brightness light-emitting-diode (HBLED) lighting applications. The new Luxguard CM1753 and CM1754 products feature a 50V breakdown voltage specification and deliver an 8kV human-body model (HBM) of ESD protection with low input capacitance for high-power HBLED lighting applications. Designed as silicon-based side-mount ESD protectors, the CM1753 is designed for P-up common cathode configurations and the CM1754 provides identical protection for N-up common anode configurations. A tiny form factor enables the devices to be used in existing HBLED lamp modules, with the number of LEDs in the string ranging from one to 15.
