IFM Introduces Range of Safety Light Grids

IFM Electronic has expanded its portfolio of safety products with safety light grids that only require a cable on one side. Each system consists of a transmitter/receiver unit housed on one side and a matching passive reflector on the other. So far, three versions have been launched by IFM, protecting an area 0-6m wide with two, three or four beams.

These units comply with the Type 4 (IEC 61496-1), SIL 3 (IEC 61508), SILcl 3 (IEC 62061) and PL e (EN ISO 13849-1) standards. With only one side requiring an electrical connection, the installation cost and time are minimised. No special configuration software is required.
