Lubriserv Releases Synthetic Lubricant Compound
Lubriserv has brought out Extraform 209, a synthetic lubricant compound for cold and warm extrusion of stainless steels. Extraform 209 is suitable for heavy-duty operations such as direct and inverse extrusion, first-stroke skin passing and cold and warm forming of stainless steels or high alloyed steels. Among the benefits of Extraform 209 are that it provides significant punch and die life increases; it improves the material plastic flow into the die; it reduces subsequent pressure on tools; and it eliminates seizing, resulting in less down time and ease of cleaning.
Extraform 209 can be used as a forming fluid for cold and warm (450-600C) stamping on wire horizontal presses, including National, Sacma and Salvi machines. Extraform 209 provides maximum lubrication power in unusual and difficult extrusions and in the plastic deformation of high-carbon steels and high-alloyed steels.
