GPEG OLED Module Suits Industrial Equipment

GPEG has launched the FDO2864ASYGG monochrome OLED module, which is suitable for use in industrial equipment, DAB radios, card readers and a variety of white and brown goods applications. The 2.42in OLED module is a 128x64 dots resolution, high-contrast wide viewing angle display that can fit all forms of equipment designs. The display is described as an ideal alternative for standard size 12864 LCD displays, where it offers a bright display with a wide viewing angle and good contrast.

The OLED module has a choice of either a green or yellow display. It includes all the usual OLED features including: high contrast (2000:1); wide viewing angle (160-deg) and a brightness of 100cd/m2. GPEG said the module is simple to interface as it incorporates the SSD1305 controller/driver chip, which will connect to 8-bit 6800/8080 series microprocessors or other designs using the four-wire SPI interface or I2C. GPEG can change the display colour to white for high-volume applications.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
